Added sophistication

SANDRO jacket
ISABEL MARANT top

With golden hour at it’s peek, my new Sandro jacket got to play lead role accompanied by my most trashed denim and a worn out wife-beater. Captured somewhere on the Norther Irish coast where my phone had claimed ‘No service’ for the past 3 hours.

Avid Instagram followers are well aware that I spent the last week traveling around Ireland and Northern Ireland! A quick Twitter question later and Dublin was definitely on my list of places to visit. So a day here and I can confirm that: Irish people like to party, I love Guinness and Dublin is the best place for dreamers (read: slow shoppers) like me. Little gems and vintage stores cutely scattered around the almighty Brown Thomas, don’t worry... I’ll be back.

There is absolutely no doubt where these black and white neoprene ruffles origin from, but as much as I would want to own a piece from Ghesquiere’s last Balenciaga collection, the skirt is indeed a high-street version. A a guilty but good one that is. Unaware of how school girl like I would look on the day I ruined that image with my sexiest lace up boots again..

Easy A

Hello from... Ireland! You did not see that one coming, did you? I’m spending the week here, running after the bf’s golf schedule again, the good girlfriend that I am. Truth be told I’m milking this country to it’s full advantage, because of it’s beauty and I’m dying to visit (read: pose shamelessly at...) Giant's Causeway!

But above a few photos from an easy, sunny Sunday in this seasons best skirt!

Rings and things

My current favorite rings include Noemi Klein’s ribcage ring from Bengt (thinking about getting the silver too) and Karen London’s simple designs in, well, all colors. I brought back a ridiculous amount of corals and shells from Crete that work as the prettiest jewelry bowls!

InstaJuly

I sometimes forget that my Instagram account is not directly connected to my blog... Or well it actually is on the sidebar, but things, purchases and updates usually hit the Insta account before they make it in prettier pictures to the blog.

So to sum up this month... Sporty new Hudson jeans, decor rearrangings, and the continuing of serious gold and silver mixing. Diner stops, daily outfits from above and new season shoe phrasing. Purchases, things I wish I purchased, randoms and naturally more shoes.

Diner stop

This American style Diner just outside London had my attention from the first time we drove past it. Instant blog material don’t you think? It wasn’t until we pulled up on the parking lot until I realized how perfectly my tied Peridot London shirt suited the scenery that day. Vintage inspired although I was draped in brand new gear, isn't it funny how things, that being serious or less, always come together in the end.

Hair pulling, tongue twisting

Pull my hair Mr. Ghesquière! Phew, That’s the least I would let him do... I could not resist picking up this tee while I walked by the T-shirt corner in Selfridges last weekend. Despite the serious face pictured, I got a lot of laughs while I wore this in London a few days ago - although they could as well have been laughing at my not-so-subtle denim jeans + lace up boots combo... But these Proenza boots does blow my mind a little bit, so you are going to have to look at them a lot in the future!

Let the light in

There is something about these pants that make me want to always pair them with something light, like seen earlier here. Keeping things simple whilst we drove drown back to London after out Scotland visit.

Piper or Billie

I think I’ve found the perfect fall boots! These two amazing pairs by Tibi have been on my mind all weekend. The question is though should I stay true to myself and go for the higher ‘Piper’ version or try something new with the slightly lower ‘Billie’ boot? Shocker, I like a lower heel! Shame on me? They would be awfully practical and a perfect match with my growing collection of tailored trousers...

Driving home from Scotland as we speak, the land of whiskey and kilts was beautiful, although I mostly got to experience it from a golf course. So excuse my sleeked back emergency hair bun. My new spontaneous Pinko buy assures that how ever tired I might feel, there is nothing that a great jacket and a good pair of heels could not save. I’m not entirely sure if it’s a jacket or dress but tonight it served the purpose of both.

Naughty nautical

Hii from the coats of Scotland! My boy is playing golf up here and I could not pass up on a chance to visit this place for the first time!

Putting the naughty in nautical with a pair of daisy dukes that are borderline too rude to photograph from the behind. Scenery wise appropriately paired with a J.W Anderson waistcoat that I’m planning to wear until it falls to pieces.
