Flashback, um Monday, a few weeks back to the beaches of Thailand. If there is ever a day to daydream away, it must be on the month’s last Monday. Keep calm and carry on.

This is an attempt to break away from black. Soft grey, neutrals and white, please move in asap. Before I become all too Goth and have you abandon me in the blame of lost creativity. This season I promise to be more open, more kind to the ever so springy pastels, as long as they come served stripped back and with a handful of volume. Let that be my thumb rule for the new season’s shop-list.

Well, a little kimono hang is somewhat of an obligation for me when I get to experience any temperatures above 20, it’s deliberating. Versions of Athena Procopiou would have been even better, but there is always next time. There will and must be a next time for a sisterly Thai getaway too, but I don’t believe I’ll ever relive the feeling of a new start like this. Might have been a slow kick-off on the cyber side, but I promise it’s been worth it all.

For the more dressier days in Thailand. I had the privilege of rating a few malls in Bangkok, a day to rediscover my love for a few Thai brands. I had some stores in mind from my 2011 visit, but the discoverings were even better this time. Vatanika, Flynow and Senada, just to mention a few brands that won me over with their clean lines, definitely a fresh take on the ever so praised shopping streets of London. However, I miss my home town dearly, so I’ve been all smiles since touching down last night. Let’s finally kick off 2014.

Beach checks

ZARA dress

Woah it’s been a while! The sandy beaches here in North Phuket has had my mind on everything else than computers lately, a small apology for that. The whole trip was last so last minute that I left my whole suitcase filled with wintery wool and leather at home. So unfortunately I can’t promise too many well planned kimono outfits, but more like spontaneous local finds to follow, hope you can cope! I sure did.

For new beginnings

Happy New Year to you all my dearest! Thank you for a fantastic year that you’ve lived with me. I celebrated barefoot on the beach in Thailand with my sister, the best way. Lots of chilling on the menu for the next few days, which will of course be documented here too. So stay tuned while I try not to wear button down shirts and uncomfortable shoes, it’s for some reason more difficult than what it should be!
