Cozy and comfortable

COS knit
VINTAGE stole
ZARA skirt
FOLLI FOLLIE watch

This was on the last day of fashion week here in London, the day you kind of give up or refuse to freeze, it's around the time when people usually try to dress up sneakers. I'll never do that, but I opted for my new favorite Stuart Weitzman boots that have been serving me well thoughout the snow in Finland and rain in London. I'll assure they are worth the hype and so comfortable that you might think you’re wearing sneakers. I've come to realize that when over-knee boots are suede, you're not promiscuous at all really, even low cut tops will not push you overboard. I challenge you.

Golden details

LFW was all gold for me (all puns intended) as it’s the current jewellery mood that I can’t seem to shake. Not that I'm trying anyway. Some more pictures still to come, but let’s take a moment to give it up for those all important details.

Wearing jewellery by: FOLLI FOLLIE ‘Match & Dazzle’ ring, ‘Carma’ bangle and ‘Carma’ bracelet. VITA FEDE ‘Mini Titan Crystal’ bracelet via Shopbop. SAINT LAURENT thin bangle. FOLLIE FOLLIE ‘Match & Dazzle’ bangles. MARIA BLACK & VANESSA MOONEY rings and FOLLIE FOLLIE watch. Tote by SOPHIE HULME via Shopbop and MARJA KURKI duffle bag.

Pollini at Browns

Just before fashion week kicked off I stopped by Browns to welcome Italian footwear brand, Pollini to the UK! I did not only get to smell try on the shoes, I got to chat to the mastermind Nicholas Kirkwood himself. The designer, who is best know for his eponymous brand, has also been the creative director of Pollini since 2011, where he is kept busy with six collections for a year. The range which is currently in stores, is designed around a wearable 70‘s vibe, with colours doing most of the talking. I applaud the modern take and the pointy toes, which had me instantly sold. Still amazed that I share the same amount of hours a day with this man.

Shop Pollini exclusively at Browns.

Blonde Gladiator

Sunday for me was gladiator warrior day, see shoes. We’re well aware that it’s mid February but in my defense I wore 3 knits and the sun was shining, so hush. Fashion week has a completely different dress code that weather does not have a say in. These stunning sandals worked as a more subtle (and budgety) version of the Altuzarra buckle-ups, something I though I could live with. Turns out I couldn't. Exhibit A, that took place a day later.

Double leather realization

THE KOOPLES jacket
WEEKDAY knit
WHISTLES skirt
LUCY CHOI boots
MARIA BLACK rings
MONICA VINADER rings

The clam before the storm, a little something I wore before we had fashion week kick off here in London. It’s usually the most stressful time but for me it was a perfect opportunity to get sucked in to reality, not that fashion week is really portraying real life, maybe you get the point. So it was double leather for me that afternoon (hello leather jacket weather!) My excuse it that I the blond mane is keeping this from looking too Matrix, I don’t think anyone was blond in The Matrix?

Simone Pérèle Paris

Couture fashion week got an impressive ending for me, not that I got to experience the whole hype this time, just the cream of the crop, quite literally as you can tell. I was whisked away to the ever so charming Paris, for a weekend to experience the new direction of underwear specialist, Simone Pérèle. The lace know-it-alls, that I’ve grown very fond of lately, presented a wide range (wide being an understatement for the 20 minute show) of silk, tulle, underwired and subtly exposed, a whole range of styles that really speak for themselves. Combinations of purples and greys, without forgetting the bright reds and the new take on black, will be dropping into stores early June. So it’s about time to get into a Valentine’s mood and let the love experts (read French) lead the way.

Spring dressing with Reiss

WEARING ALL REISS
LINK jumpsuit
MENZIE scarf
MALVA shoes
SASHA shirt
ALISE skirt
ANNA shoes

A needed bounce back, come back, call it whatever, I’m back in my usual London business! Feeling more eager than ever to welcome the spring collections that are already waiting to be picked up in stores. This week I am teaming up with high-street favorite, Reiss, to show you my picks for spring! A hardworking sleek jumpsuit to take me from day to night is without a doubt what I’ve pointed out as a wardrobe favorite already. Tightly wrapping their collections prettiest silk scarf around my neck, the only way I know how, updating the statement neckless this season. Subtle print matching as a clear second choice, link print to match my growing addiction for everything silver. London never saw any snow this winter, or did I just choose my traveling wisely? Nevertheless I can’t wait for warmer weathers as my open-toe sandals are staring at me like it’s time to take them off the shelves. Will do my lovers, will do.
